There is a longing that God has placed in all our hearts for a relationship with the divine. This is a journey of spiritual discovery. Prior to becoming a follower of Jesus, there are often many points of intersection where someone who knows of Jesus gets an opportunity to share their faith journey, they may have invited you to church, they were able to point out the fingerprints of God on your life and tell you more about Jesus.

 

If you’re still wondering about who Jesus is and you want to DISCOVER more, we recommend that you take “The Alpha Course”. Having a conversation about life, faith, and Jesus is hard. Alpha is about creating a welcoming, friendly place where people can come and ask questions to explore the Christian faith.

 

The Bible tells us that God loved us enough to send his one and only son and if you believe that and your willing to trust in him we are promised eternal life (John 3:16). That’s more than just a promise, it’s about living every day on the journey with Jesus. Through repentance of sin and trust in him as saviour, each person can have a relationship with our eternal heavenly father because of what Jesus has done through the power of the Holy Spirit.

 

The next steps in the journey are to get baptized, do your profession of faith or become a member of Discovery Church, and to sign up for our “DISCOVER Group”. Once you commit yourself to Jesus Christ the Bible teaches us that we are called to commit ourselves to each other, “First they gave themselves to the Lord; and then, by God’s will, they gave themselves to us as well.” (2 Corinthians 8:5).
